Mustangs 100: A Century of Western Athletics

One hundred years ago, three of Western’s school-specific student athletic councils decided to come together to compete under one banner and form one governing body for intercollegiate athletics; and thus started a tradition that continues to this day. In 2013-14, Western University honours the rich history of Mustangs athletics with MUSTANGS 100: A CENTURY OF WESTERN ATHLETICS, a 100-page hardback book showcasing what has become one of the proudest sporting traditions in all of Canadian sport.

This book celebrates the past century of sport at Western, and although it would be impossible to include each and every moment, person or story from the past 100 years, it showcases what has become one of the proudest sporting traditions in all of Canadian sport by reliving some of the people, events, teams and stories that have made the past century so special.
