Current students are invited to stop by The Wave, grab a coffee and engage in some casual career conversation with guest alumni networkers. This is the perfect place to ask questions and start making some connections!

There is no cost to attend this complimentary event, and the coffee and treats are on us. Students are requested to register online.

Alumni networkers for March 14, 2018:

Chris Brandl, BSc'81, Professor, Western University
Chris graduated from Western in 1981 (BSc Honors Biochemistry). Chris went on to complete a PhD at U of T and was at Harvard Medical School for 3 years before coming back to Western in 1990. Chris is now a professor in Biochemmistry at Western.

Victoria Di Loreto, BA'15, Market Development Manager, Coca-Cola Refreshments
Victoria graduated from Western with a BA in Sociology. She then completed a Western Continuing Studies program in Marketing. Victoria has 4+ years of experience in marketing and sales, working for globally recognizable companies (RedBull Canada and Coca-cola). She is extremely passionate about employing women in the workplace and would love the opportunity to share her story of what it's like being a recent graduate in a fortune 500 company.

Sean Mackenzie, BA'87, Portfolio Manager, National Bank Financial 
Sean has been a Portfolio Manager at National Bank for the past 8 years. He spent his previous 15 years in the Agri Commodities Markets, shipping grains to 50 countries around the globe.

Emely Melendez, BA'11, HR Training Manager/ Barrister & Solicitor, Canadian Armed Forces 
Emely is a January 2018 call to the Law Society of Upper Canada. She has a strong background in immigration and refugee protection, administrative law, military law, veteran's law and government operations. Emely has strong leadership skills and is a project management professional with a Juris Doctor (JD) in Common Law, a Licenciate of Law (LL.L) focused in Civil Law from University of Ottawa, and a honour's specialization in International Relations and French from Western University. She is an experienced Financial Administrator with a demonstrated history of working in the military industry.
