Undergraduate Auditions for Music
The admission process for the Don Wright Faculty of Music's Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Musical Arts, Bachelor of Arts (Major in Popular Music Studies) and, in most cases, Bachelor of Arts, Specialization in Music Administrative Studies programs requires an audition.
Prior to registering for an audition date, applicants must have applied to Western through the Ontario Universities Application Centre (www.ouac.on.ca).
Once you have applied through OUAC and registered here, we
will be in touch with you regarding supplementary forms, request for audition and
finalizing your audition day and time.
Click on the button that says "Register Now" to be taken to our registration page.
a) You will need to purchase a "ticket" (audition fee) for $60. Only one ticket is required. You will be required to enter your newly assigned Western student number to complete registration.
b) Certain instruments or programs will be auditioned/interviewed on certain dates. We will assign an audition or interview date and will email you directly to confirm the date. The April 6th date on our registration site is the last date of all music auditions/interviews. An automatic reply giving you the April 6th date will be sent to you but is not necessarily the date you will be given for your audition.
c) Ensure that your request for an audition/interview form and all forms are submitted by February 15.
Western is committed to accessibility for peoples with disabilities. Please contact us if you have any particular accommodation requirements or require information in an alternate format.
