Founder's Day in London: Wine Tasting World Tour
|
Celebrate Western's extraordinary achievements at our Founder’s Day Wine Tasting World Tour at Western's historic Windermere Manor. Join us on a world-wide wine tour as we discover a selection of fine vintages without leaving London. Sample grape types you may have never tried before but will definitely not forget. Paul Mitchell, BA'92, of Tasty Tours, will lead our guests through a unique selection of three red and three white tastings along with appetizers that have been carefully selected to complement the wines. Guests will be welcomed with a sample of our venue's very own, exclusive custom-brewed Winderbeer Honey Stung Beer. Whether you are new to wine tastings or a connoisseur, you will be sure to learn something new at this event! Registration is $25 per person and includes all taxes and gratuities. Please register by Monday, March 3, 2014. Complimentary parking is available onsite. Sorry, no refunds. Founder’s Day is celebrated annually by the Western community on March 7. It is a time for Western to remember the contributions of its founders and celebrate our students, staff, faculty and alumni and their accomplishments. One of Canada’s oldest universities, Western was founded on March 7, 1878 when the UWO Act was proclaimed. To commemorate this day, members of the Alumni Association have developed a grassroots initiative to promote Founder’s Day. Join Founder's Day on Social Media
