THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED.

The 2014 Hungry for Change Gala is a semi-formal dinner that illustrates inequality throughout the world. This year’s theme is Right to Play, the importance of recreational programs for underserviced communities and third world countries. The evening will feature keynote speaker, Dr. Robert Stein, on this subject.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for a cocktail hour with a cash bar and live music. Dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m. sharp. Throughout the evening there will be a silent auction and a photo auction. (Payment by cash or cheque for auction items is greatly appreciated).

Tickets are:

  • $50 for students and residents (valid ID must be shown at the door)
  • $100 for all other individuals (includes a $40 tax receipt)
  • $900 for a table of 10 (includes a $360 tax receipt)

Please purchase your tickets by Monday, March 3, 2014.

Where are the proceeds going?

Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards the Global Health Funding Committee, which funds scholarships that help medicals students who go to resource-poor regions for clinical electives.  The gala also hopes to generate awareness and support for Ghana Medical Help, a non-profit that gives medical supplies to hospitals in Ghana.

Proceeds of our silent auction and photo auction go to Right to Play, whose mission is to use sport and play to educate and empower children and youth to overcome the effects of poverty, conflict, and disease in disadvantaged communities.

What is Hungry for Change?
