Featuring some of Canada's brightest minds with ideas on what we remember and why it matters.

The Walrus Talks format features seven speakers for seven minutes each on topics related to a single theme. The Walrus Talks Remembrance will explore the nature of how our minds work, how memories define us, and how the past can shape the future. Artists, writers, business leaders, and more will give their own unique perspectives on remembrance, leaving the audience thinking, “I never thought of it that way!”

John MacLachlan Gray: writer-composer-performer and Eric Peterson: actor
Lisa Moore: author
George Myatte: retired Corporal, The Royal Canadian Regiment
Peter Behrens: novelist, screenwriter and short story writer; author Carry Me
Iskwé: electronic Indigenous singer-songwriter
Michael Kaan: author The Water Beetles, winner of Amazon's First Novel Award
Marie Wilson: Commissioner, Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, 2009-2015 (BA'72, MA'77, LLD'17)
