6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The Bata Shoe Museum, 327 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON

Bata Shoe Museum Event Toronto 2013

Sex and shoes? You had me at "stiletto."

Shoes are often objects of desire, markers of femininity or masculinity. In this brief talk, Professor Kelly Olson will take you on a short tour of how shoes in Western culture relate to sexuality and desire. Learn about styles through the ages, from ancient Roman platform sandals to the chopines of the Renaissance, from the dandy’s shoes of the eighteenth century to today's stilettos.

Registration is $15 per person and includes an optional 5:30 p.m. tour of The Bata Shoe Museum, a networking reception and Kelly Olson's talk.  Guests will enjoy delicious appetizers and one complimentary beer, wine or soft drink per person. A cash bar will also be available.

Please register online by Sunday, April 28, 2013.
