Current students are invited to stop by The Wave, grab a coffee and engage in some casual career conversation with guest alumni networkers. This is the perfect place to ask questions and start making some connections!

There is no cost to attend this complimentary event, and the coffee and treats are on us. Students are requested to register online.

Erin Verbruggen is a Registered Kinesiologist and Certified Ergonomics Specialist, and currently works as a Manager of Client Services for LifeMark.  Erin has worked for LifeMark for 12 years, first working within a clinic performing FCEs, Ergonomic and Work Site Assessments, as well as designing exercise programs and working with patients.  In her current role, Erin manages a team of Account Managers who are responsible for national contracts for Assessment Services, including FCEs, Ergonomics Assessments, Work Site Assessments and Pre-Employment Testing as well as Rehabilitation Services for Long Term Disability Providers and Employers. 

Erin is also a WorkWell Faculty Member, acting as an instructor and mentor for Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Kinesiologists and Chiropractors performing functional assessments.

A Human Resources Consultant in Western's Human Resources Division specializing in total compensation, position evaluation, salary surveys, metrics and data security.

Certified Human Resources Leader as awarded by HRPA

An Honourary Life Member of the Human Resources Professionals Association in recognition of her significant contributions to the HRPA. A former President of the Human Resources Professionals Association of London and District.

Shantal Feltham is President & CEO of Stiris Research Inc. and Stiris Research USA Inc, Clinical Trial Management Organizations that conduct Phase I through IIIB Clinical Trials for the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical industries. Shantal is a graduate of Western University, received her business training at the Tuck Executive Program and the Ivey Business School, and began her clinical research career in 1993. Shantal holds a Director position on the Board of Directors for TechAlliance of Southwestern Ontario and the London Economic Development Corporation.

Shantal and her team are recipients of the PROFIT Top50 Emerging Growth Companies, six-time recipient of the PROFIT W100 Top Female Entrepreneur award, two-time recipient of the PROFIT 500 list of Canada’s fastest growing companies award and were recognized by the London Chamber of Commerce as Business of the Year.

 

Marya Shabbir, BMOS’13, Finance & IT Manager, Family Service Thames Valley

Marya Shabbir is currently the Finance & IT Manager at Family Service Thames Valley, a non-profit counselling agency serving the Thames Valley region including Middlesex County.  As the Finance & IT Manager, Marya is responsible and accountable for leading and managing key corporate and administrative operations at FSTV including financial planning and management, information systems management, and business processes development.  Marya's key responsibilities include: financial reporting and analysis, cash management, internal controls, payroll & benefits management, information systems management, as well as procurement, asset management and insurance. 

Marya holds a Bachelor of Management & Organizational Studies (Specialization in Finance & Administration) degree from Western University and has her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) designation.
