String Celebration at
Western University
Western’s distinguished full-time string faculty (Annette-Barbara Vogel, violin, Sharon Wei, viola, Thomas Wiebe, cello) will offer chamber music coachings and instrumental masterclasses
to select chamber groups from the GTA and Southern Ontario.
The String Chamber Music Day will take place at the Don Wright Faculty of
Music’s new facility, in the heart of Western’s beautiful campus in London,
Ontario. Free bus transportation will be provided for those students coming from
Toronto. A free lunch and dinner will also be offered. There is a $25-per-person registration fee to participate. The
deadline for registration is January 16, 2017. Information for bus pick-up and
drop-off in Toronto to be determined following January 16, 2017.
This is a chance for individuals and groups to grow musically, to hear new and
illuminating ideas, and get a taste of Western’s rich musical offerings.
