The opioid crisis is devastating communities across Canada. Join us Homecoming Weekend for a thought provoking panel discussion - Opioids: A Country in Crisis moderated by Kate Young, Member of Parliament for London West, with Panellists:

Dr. Sharon Koivu, MD’84, Family Medicine Site Chief, London Health Sciences Centre,
Steven Laviolette, PhD, Associate Professor, Schulich Medicine & Dentistry,
Daryl Longworth, Deputy Chief, Administration, London Police Service,
Dr. Chris Mackie, Medical Officer of Health, Middlesex-London and
Trystan Nault, Medicine Class of 2020,

We will discuss the adverse effects opioids are having on Canadian communities and explore the role medical and dental schools can play, as we look to overcome its devastating impact locally and nationally.

This event is open to all alumni, faculty, staff, students and community members.
