Celebrate Founder's Day in Ottawa with a look inside the vault of the Canada Council Art Bank. With more than 17,000 works by over 3,000 artists, the Art Bank has the largest collection of contemporary Canadian art in the world.

Art Consultant  Lorraine Pierce-Hull, BA' 79 (Visual Arts) will be on hand to welcome us and to discuss highlights of the collection.

Registration is $15 per person and includes:

  • Exclusive access to the largest collection of Canadian contemporary art in the world
  • A guided tour of the Canada Council Art Bank (small groups) 
  • One wine or beer ticket
  • Appetizers and refreshments
  • Musical entertainment

About Western Founder’s Day

Founder’s Day is celebrated each year by the Western community on March 7 - the anniversary of the University’s founding in 1878.

It is a time for alumni, students, faculty and staff - wherever they are around the world - to reconnect and share in a celebration of everything #purpleandproud.
