Don McKellar is considered to be one of the architects of music education programs in Canada. He has had a profound impact on students of all ages from elementary to university and community-based programs.
Here at Western, he was instrumental in establishing the Faculty of Music, building our programming, strengthening our reputation, and expanding our facilities. The current renovation and expansion of the music building at Western provide us with an opportunity to reflect on his accomplishments, and a chance to recognize and honour him.
Anyone who is connected with music education, or is passionate about music, knows of Don. Please join us at the home of Carol and Gwyn Beynon as we reminisce and discuss how best to honour Professor McKellar.
