Betty Anne Younker, Dean, Don Wright Faculty of Music, and Western Alumni invite you to attend Opera 101, an opera appreciation event using the wonderful comedy and family romance in Rossini's operatic version of the timeless tale of Cinderella (La Cenerentola).

Join us to learn more about this genre from Professor Theodore Baerg. Professor Baerg will focus his examples on Gioachino Rossini, a beloved Italian composer and the most popular opera composer in his time.  Students from the Don Wright Faculty of Music will perform an excerpt of their upcoming production of Rossini’s La Cenerentola for you to enjoy.

Following the presentation and short performance, guests will enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks. A cash bar will be available.
