Western Arts & Humanities invites you to celebrate the art of creative writing with an afternoon of literary readings from Western's current Writer-in-Residence, Tanis Rideout, and Western Student Writer-in-Residence, Helen Ngo, and others! All are welcome to attend this complementary event. 

Speaker Spotlight: Tanis Rideout 

tanis rideoutTanis is Western’s current Writer-in-Residence. She is the author of Delineation (2005), Arguments with the Lake (2013), and Above All Things (2012), works that have been widely praised. Her poetry and fiction have appeared in numerous publications and received grants from local and national arts councils.

 

Speaker Spotlight: Helen Ngo

helen ngoHelen is Western's Student Writer-in-Residence. A mathematics student by day, creative writer by night, she believes that both mathematics and writing are forms of art that share a goal of capturing truth and beauty. Helen's work has been published in Premier, Nom de Plume, Symposium, and The Semi-Colon
