Current students are invited to stop by The Wave, grab a coffee and engage in some casual career conversation with guest alumni networkers. This is the perfect place to ask questions and start making some connections!

There is no cost to attend this complimentary event, and the coffee and treats are on us. Students are requested to register online in advance.

kathleen groganKathleen Grogan, BA'90, Vice President Finance, Libro Credit Union

Kathleen Grogan is Libro's Vice President of Finance. She has been with Libro since 2008, with roles in Enterprise Risk Management and Finance. She has led several value creation initiatives to improve both delivery effectiveness and owner value within commercial and retail demand products and wealth management processes.

Prior to joining Libro, Kathleen held an accounting role with Ernst & Young LLP, and was the owner-operator of a local music studio. Kathleen holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Economics from Western University, and has her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA) designation. In the community, Kathleen has volunteered with the CPA Ontario Chapter, and has participated in several music-based not-for-profits.

Matthew is a lawyer at Lerners LLP and a proud Western alum. He practices in the areas of Real Estate Law (including Land Development, Land Use Planning and Environmental Law) and Business Law (including acting for charities and not-for-profits). After graduating from King's University College at Western with Honors in History, Matthew attended Western Law, graduating in 2010.

Matthew is an active member in the London community, currently serving on numerous community boards and committees, including Western's Board of Governors. Matthew was named one of London's 20 Under 40 for 2013.

lisa haagsmaLisa Haagsma, BA'92, Secondary School Teacher, Montcalm Secondary School

Lisa is a secondary school teacher at Montcalm S.S., teaching the Hospitality and Tourism program. After completing her teacher's education program in Australia, Lisa moved to Trinidad and began her teaching career. She has been a teacher for 8 years.

Before becoming a teacher, Lisa held various positions at companies such as Canada Post, London Life and Best Western. She holds two degrees from Western: a B.A. in English and an Honors Bachelor of Arts, and a Double Major in English Literature and Family Studies. Currently, Lisa is the Vice President of the Brescia Alumnae Association and is an active #purpleandproud alumna.
