Indigenous peoples and their ties to the land: A global perspective How and why do processes of environmental change affect the health and social circumstances of Indigenous peoples in Canada and abroad? Chantelle Richmond, Director of Western’s Indigenous Health Lab, will discuss how the special connection between Indigenous peoples and the land is a global unifying theme, but how it can also enhance their vulnerability to environmental change.
