Every Move You Make: Living with Online Surveillance

Increasingly, we live our lives online: shopping, banking, socializing, learning, and entertaining ourselves. Together, our online actions create a highly detailed ‘digital shadow’ capturing our activities, interests, intentions and desires. Jacquie Burkell, Assistant Dean, Research, in the Faculty of Information & Media Studies, examines this online behavioural tracking and the  strategies you can use to monitor and limit your own ‘digital shadow.’

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The lecture will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Please register online by Monday, October 27, 2014.
