How Do Non-Musicians Understand Music?

Even without musical training, most people can notice wrong notes, tap their feet to
a beat, recognize songs from childhood, and understand emotions conveyed in music.
How do we acquire these skills? And what might they reveal about the mind? Come
explore these questions with Jonathan De Souza, professor at the Don Wright Faculty of Music.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The lecture will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Please register online by Monday, November 17, 2014.
