Exploring Children's Mental Health
Thursday, June 20, 2013
4:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Strangway Community Centre, 260 East Street North, Sarnia, ON

Sarnia Lecture Series: Children's Mental Health

Alumni Western is pleased to partner with the Strangway Community Centre to present Children don't come with a manual: Exploring children's mental health.

Recent studies indicated 20 percent of children aged 4-17 struggle with a clinically diagnosable mental health disorder. That translates to more than 800,000 Canadian children who experience health concerns that impair their ability to function well at home, school and in the community.

Western University's Vicki Schwean, Dean of the Faculty of Education, will explore the crucial role parents and educators can play in ensuring the needs of these children are met.

Cost is $5 per person. Please call the Strangway Community Centre at 519-322-0656 by Tuesday, June 18, 2013 to register.

Members of the community are welcome to attend this event. Please forward this message to others who might be interested in the topic.

Complimentary refreshments will be available and there is free parking on site.
