Hosted by Western Science, this event celebrates the outstanding collaborative and interdisciplinary research contribution by Fallona Family Interdisciplinary Research Award recipient, Elizabeth Gillies.

The event also provides opportunities for alumni, faculty and students to connect with peers from across campus, fortify and develop new relationships with external stakeholders and share contributions to Western's expanding interdisciplinary research strength via a poster presentation.

Featured activities include:

  • A keynote presentation by Dr. Elizabeth Gillies, Chemistry and Biomedical Engineering titled Triggered Degradation of Plastics: From Pharmaceuticals to Agricultural Products
  • Highlight presentations of interdisciplinary research in materials and biomaterials
  • Cross- faculty poster presentation and awards
  • Reception
