Current students are invited to stop by The Wave, grab a coffee and engage in some casual career conversation with guest alumni networkers. This is the perfect place to ask questions and start making some connections!

There is no cost to attend this complimentary event, and the coffee and treats are on us. Students are requested to register online.

Carole Metron is a lover of sport and the outdoors and is suitably employed at Columbia Sportswear Canada LP as the Retail Marketing Coordinator for their Employee Store. She is responsible for creating relationships with local businesses, organizations and other influential players in the community to implement B2B partnerships.  Carole graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1992 and then acquired her Public Relations Post Graduate certificate from Humber College in 1993. 

Her career experience has been in PR and Marketing, Sales and Program management having worked with the Windsor Symphony, Caesars Windsor and the London based, GoodLife Fitness Clubs.  Motherhood was added to her resume in 2003, 2005 and 2007 and then from 2008 to 2012 she ran a successful home-based business. Now with her children in school she feels she has found her calling at Columbia. Outside of work, for the past three years Carole has been involved on the Executive team for Absolute Dance, a non-profit dance studio in Kilworth and also gives of her talents to ONERUN, a local Breast Cancer charity.

Robert brings significant experience from senior roles in provincial and municipal governments in South Western Ontario to this portfolio. He is active in a number of initiatives designed to address the anticipated labour market shortages and close the gaps between supply and demand-an identified cornerstone of community economic resilience and sustainability.

Kerby Waud is an elementary school principal with the Thames Valley District School Board. Previously a teacher and learning co-ordinator, Kerby graduated with a Bachelor or Arts from Western University, a Bachelor in Education from Windsor, and then returned to his alma mater here at Western for his Master’s in Education.
