London Police Payment Card Fraud Talk

Detective Sam McDean from London Police Services, Fraud Division, will be speaking about the latest on payment card fraud, Point-of-Sale (POS) device tampering and the overall risk of criminal activity in e-commerce.

Members of the Fraud Section have received specialized training and are responsible for the investigation of major frauds. These investigations include offences of telemarketing fraud, internal commercial fraud, computer fraud, social assistance fraud, credit card fraud, electronic banking fraud, and counterfeit currency investigations.

The Bankcard Committee for Western University is hosting this information session to help staff and Western’s vendors defend against: Payment Card fraud POS device tampering Criminal risk to e-Commerce. Anyone responsible for processing payment cards through Western vendor POS devices is encouraged to attend.
