Current students are invited to stop by The Wave, grab a coffee and engage in some casual career conversation with guest alumni networkers. This is the perfect place to ask questions and start making some connections!

There is no cost to attend this complimentary event, and the coffee and treats are on us. Students are requested to register online by Tuesday, March 3, 2015.

Mark Brown, MBA'95, Partner, Interactive & Client Solutions, adHOME Creative
Mark is an Internet pioneer with 25 years of web and digital advertising experience delivering innovative and professional new media solutions to global clients. With a background in management consulting at Deloitte, he is also a seasoned entrepreneur having founded three successful Internet start-ups in Asia and the U.S. His specific areas of expertise are strategic planning, digital marketing, web application development and online advertising. Mark's interactive clients have included Nike, McDonalds, Toyota, Yahoo!, Johnson & Johnson, HBO and the Richard Ivey School of Business. At adHOME, Mark is responsible for developing new business and for overseeing the strategy and development of digital projects for all clients, including Maple Leaf Foodservice, TSSA, University of Toronto and CertainTeed.

Mark has also held management positions at Nortel Canada and General Motors of Canada. He has an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a BSc in Engineering from Kettering University (GMI/EMI). Mark is a member of the Western Alumni Board of Directors and a past Chapter President and member of the Ivey Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Fiona Cuddy, BA'99,  Associate Vice-President, Distribution Operations Support, London Life, Great-West Life
Fiona’s current role has responsibility for leading the strategic direction of the national field sales support and operations value proposition for London Life and Great West Life. With almost 100 regional offices and 500 people, Fiona has accountability for leading people, premises, process, training and budget in support of financial security advisors Canada-wide.

Prior to joining London Life and Great-West Life, Fiona held various roles in both global companies and entrepreneurial practices. From a boutique-sized PR and communications agency in downtown Toronto to an international call centre operation in the heart of The Philippines, Fiona’s experience is diverse and far-reaching.

With a background that spans sales, marketing, PR, communications and operations for companies ranging from 2 employees to 20,000, Fiona brings insight from multiple disciplines to her current role.

Fiona has worked with industries that range from telcom to fashion, including worldwide giants, Nokia and Verizon to Canadian powerhouses, Fidelity Denim and Brave Beltworks.

Fiona brings over 20 years’ experience in leading high performing teams to drive positive outcomes and profitable change. Fiona is disciplined and focused on what’s most important to her clients’ while maintaining a healthy perspective on being a good corporate citizen.

Amanda Forbes, BA'04, BEd'05, Teacher, London District Catholic School Board
Amanda is currently a Student Program Support Teacher. Amanda's career has been primarily in the Elementary panel across both school board in London, with experience in Grade 7 and 8 homeroom, Core and Immersion French, Special Education, and Curriculum Support for Technology. Amanda has worked in various roles in the classroom, at the board office, and as an after-school instructor. Amanda has written and published materials for the Catholic Curriculum Corporation, she is part of the London Regional Heritage Fair (History) Committee, she is a regular contributor to Canadian Teacher Magazine, and she has worked toward school EcoCertification for 3 years in a row. Amanda has also coached volleyball, basketball, soccer, hockey, and dance, with many of her teams placing first or second in tournaments and regular play. Amanda is passionate about education in all forms and is excited to help others who are equally interested.
