Current students are invited to stop by The Wave, grab a coffee and engage in some casual career conversation with guest alumni networkers. This is the perfect place to ask questions and start making some connections!

There is no cost to attend this complimentary event, and the coffee and treats are on us. Students are requested to register online.

Ryan is a 22 Police Sergeant who currently heads the Campus Police Service here at Western. Prior to this role, Ryan was with the London Police Service for 20 years and also worked with the Saanich Police on Vancouver Island. Alongside his profession in policing, Ryan is also the owner of a motorcycle training company called Advanced Rider Training, which offers police and civilians training on how to stay safe while riding motorbikes.  When he is not keeping Western’s campus safe, Ryan can be found raising his three future Mustangs and lecturing about rider safety.

Robert is the EVP for the Canadian market of FIMC / Home & Auto, a premiere provider of roadside assistance and family benefits. His career has followed a path flanked on one side by membership-based programs and consumer finance on the other. Responsible for the growth and profitability of the Canadian company, Robert manages sales, marketing, field and support teams, as well as other operational duties. His degree in English Literature and French gave him the tools to start his career in translation, but more importantly the acumen to break into executive management. To keep his artistic edge honed, Robert writes and enjoys photography.

Colleen AguilarColleen Aguilar, BACS'02 Communications, Marketing & External Relations Officer, Brescia University College
Colleen joined Brescia University College in 2010 as the Alumnae Relations Officer and after returning from maternity leave, in June of 2012, changed portfolios where she became the Communications, Marketing & External Relations Officer. In April of 2015, Colleen was appointed to the Director of Communications and External Relations role.

Colleen is a graduate of Western University and holds four-year combined degree in Administrative & Commercial Studies and Psychology. After graduating in 2002, Colleen travelled to South East Asia where she taught high school business courses in South Korea. Colleen returned to Canada and worked as a Sales Rep and as a Marketing Manager for five years based in Toronto with Canada's largest publishing firm Pearson Canada in the Higher Education Division. She then moved into consulting as Director of Business Development at Salus Global Corporation, a leading international firm, and travelled to over 180 hospitals in internationally providing consulting services to senior leadership teams in the health care industry. Colleen also believes in giving back  through volunteering and spent three years with Children's Hospital in London.

Erin Verbruggen is a Registered Kinesiologist and Certified Ergonomics Specialist and currently works as a Manager of Client Services for LifeMark/Centric Health.  Erin has worked for LifeMark Health for 12 years, first working within a clinic performing FCEs, Ergonomic and Work Site Assessments, as well as designing exercise programs and working with patients.  In her current role, Erin manages a team of Account Managers who are responsible for national contracts for Assessment Services, including FCEs, Ergonomics Assessments, Work Site Assessments and Pre-Employment Testing as well as Rehabilitation Services for Long Term Disability Providers and Employers. Erin is also a WorkWell Faculty Member, acting as an instructor and mentor for Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Kinesiologists and Chiropractors performing functional assessments.
