For more than 40 years, Professor Michael Groden, a Distinguished University Professor in the Department of English and Writing Studies, has studied James Joyce. On the occasion of Professor Groden's pending retirement, join him to learn how a personal passion for Ulysses defined a career as well as his own understanding of his life.

Guests will enjoy mingling with fellow alumni and friends in the Dublin Lounge of the Irish Embassy Pub & Grill. Professor Groden's talk, "Why James Joyce Matters to Me," will begin at 7:00 p.m.
