Western Community Founder's Day Coffee Break
|
Join fellow students, staff and faculty at our annual coffee break to commemorate Founder's Day. Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate Western's extraordinary achievements on the occasion of our 136th birthday! Take a break in your busy day and enjoy complimentary hot and cold beverages along with celebratory cookies and purple smoothies. Experience live music by Rick McGhie and have your picture taken at our photo booth. Please register by Wednesday, March 5, 2014 so that we can order adequate refreshments. We hope to see you there! Founder’s Day is celebrated annually by the Western community on March 7. It is a time for Western to remember the contributions of its founders and celebrate our students, staff, faculty and alumni and their accomplishments. One of Canada’s oldest universities, Western was founded on March 7, 1878 when the UWO Act was proclaimed. To commemorate this day, members of the Alumni Association have developed a grassroots initiative to promote Founder’s Day. Join Founder's Day on Social Media
