Sunstang Solar Car

Sunstang Solar Car Project

Our students are committed to sustainable energy, but they need your help!

The Sunstang Solar Car Project is Western Engineering’s largest and longest running megaproject team. The project aspires to introduce undergraduate Engineering students to a project-based learning community and leave an impact on the engineering profession through the education of sustainable energy practices.

The team currently has two major goals:

  • Attend the Formula Sun Grand Prix (FSGP) in 2024
  • Attend the World Solar Challenge (WSC) in 2025

Help the team and the STEM community build a more sustainable future for humanity by making a donation today.

With over 300 solar cells on the green energy fueled solar car, alumni and friends are encouraged to show support and “Adopt a Cell”. Donations directly help the team work toward their goals, and continue to give back to the community.
