Founder's Day Celebration in the United Kingdom
|
Celebrate your shared connection to Western with fellow alumni this Founder’s Day at the magnificent Royal Automobile Club. Mix and mingle with fellow alumni at this historic club, which was awarded a Royal title by King Edward VII in 1907, sealing the Club's status as Britain’s oldest and most influential motoring organisation. Guests will enjoy complimentary appetizers, soft drinks and with one complimentary beer or wine. A cash bar will also be available. Our event takes place in the St. James Room. Please note the Club Dress Code for the RAC. There is no fee to attend, but please register by Sunday, March 1, 2015. Founder’s Day is celebrated annually by the Western community on March 7. It is a time for Western to remember the contributions of its founders and celebrate our students, staff, faculty and alumni and their accomplishments. One of Canada’s oldest universities, Western was founded on March 7, 1878 when the charter was proclaimed. To commemorate this day, members of the Alumni Association have developed a grassroots initiative to promote Founder’s Day. Join Founder's Day on Social Media
