Celebrate Founder's Day in Vancouver
|
Celebrate Founder's Day in Vancouver with two extraordinary Western alumnae. Our guest speaker will be Andrea Thomas-Hill, BA'89, Founder and Chair of Cause We Care Foundation. Andrea is also the founder of Run for the Cure. Following Andrea's talk, guests will enjoy a wine tasting led by winemaker Heidi Noble BA’96, Owner of JoieFarm Winery. Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate Western's extraordinary achievements on the occasion of our 135th anniversary. Founder’s Day is celebrated annually by the Western community on March 7. It is a time for Western to remember the contributions of its founders and celebrate our students, staff, faculty and alumni and their accomplishments. One of Canada’s oldest universities, Western was founded on March 7, 1878 when the UWO Act was proclaimed. To commemorate this day, members of the Alumni Association have developed a grassroots initiative to promote Founder’s Day. Join Founder's Day on Social Media
