Play learn network University of Toronto

Western Alumni are invited to a thought-provoking talk on gender balance presented by University of Toronto alumna, Avivah Wittenberg-Cox. It’s time to turn this whole topic upside down. Empowering women today actually requires educating leaders to become ‘gender bilingual.' It’s time to stop decades of well-meaning but ineffective 'fix-the-women' programs and begin to focus on the bigger reality behind gender imbalances - adapting leaders, cultures and systems to 21st-century talent and market realities.

Avivah Wittenberg-Cox is a leading global expert on all things gender balance. She is the CEO of 20-first, one of the world’s leading gender consultancies with an enviable client list of global firms. She writes for Harvard Business Review and FORBES, has spoken at TEDx conferences and been recognized by ELLE Magazine as one of the Top 40 Women Leading Change. Her first book, Why Women Mean Business was awarded the MANPOWER Best Book of the Year Prize.
