Ivey Garden Tour and Strawberry Social
|
The Western Retiree Chapter is pleased to invite Western Retirees to come and tour the Ivey Garden (located at the rear of University College) plus a courtyard garden, with Mike Lunau, Manager, Landscape Services. Mike will walk guests through the gardens and discuss the variety of plants (many indigenous) and provide a brief history of how the Ivey Garden came about. This is a low impact activity and fully accessible. Following the tour, stay and enjoy a summer strawberry social in The Garden Room. Guests will enjoy freshly baked scones with butter, clotted cream, strawberry jam and fresh sliced strawberries, and coffee and tea. Formal tour and talk will begin at 1:10 p.m, followed by the social at 2:00 p.m. Cost is $10 for members and $20 for non-members. Please confirm your attendance no later than Friday, June 21, 2019. This event takes place rain or shine. No refunds. Parking details for Retirees can be found here. Please visit this link for more information about the Western Retiree Chapter.
