The Department of Family Medicine invites you to the annual Dr. Ian McWhinney Lecture Series, "Outside the Lines – The added value of the generalist physician" on September 18, 2019, in Room 1150 of the Western Centre for Public Health and Family Medicine. We are pleased to announce Dr. David Loxterkamp, a family physician and author who lives and works in Belfast, Maine, as the 2019 Dr. Ian McWhinney Lecture Series speaker. Agenda 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. – Centre for Studies in Family Medicine (CSFM) - Research Hour Facilitator: Dr. Amanda Terry, Associate Professor, Interim Co-Director, CSFM 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. – Opening Remarks and the annual Dr. Ian McWhinney Lecture 4:00 p.m. – Celebratory Reception Opening remarks and the annual Dr. Ian McWhinney Lecture will begin at 2:30 p.m. and will be followed by a celebratory reception. The lecture series has been established in memory of Dr. McWhinney, the founding chair of the Department of Family Medicine and one of the leading thinkers in the discipline of Family Medicine.
