Please register for this event using your @uwo.ca email address. Guest alumni for Wednesday, January 27, 2015:Steve Seguin, BA'92; MA'93, Director of Products, LBMX Inc. Prior to LBMX, Steve served as the senior product manager for Activant Solutions (Canada). His software career also includes roles in business analytics, project management, and quality assurance. With an MA in History from Western, Steve is passionate about helping Arts and Social Science graduates start careers in software development and IT – careers most of these students never realized they were well-suited for. In his spare time, Steve is actively involved in the theatre arts community as a writer, performer, and board member for various theatre organizations and festivals. Mira Ratjak, BSc'85; MBA'87; PMP, Consultant & Career Coach, Strategic Alternatives Mira is a health and wellness junkie. She has contributed to the work of the Parkwood Hospital Foundation, St Joseph's Hospital Foundation, Wellspring London, and Hope's Garden through various committee and board appointments. Having become an avid runner and cyclist, Mira thrives on pushing boundaries, and is proud of having completed the 200km+ Ride to Conquer Cancer, as well as both the Chicago and Boston Marathon. Wendy Crocker, BEd'83; MEd'93; PhD '13, Assistant Professor, Education, Western University As a researcher, she is involved in literacies projects that stem from her work with teachers and students in public schools. Wendy is very involved in her community on advocacy projects with the Low German speaking Mennonite population, sitting as a Director for London Bridge Child Care Services, and walking in the Relay for Life raising funds for cancer research. |
