Founder's Day Reception in Vancouver
|
Western alumni and their guest(s) are invited to celebrate Western's extraordinary achievements on the occasion of Founder’s Day. Join us at the historic Vancouver Club, located in the heart of Vancouver's business district, where guests will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow alumni and friends, and learn what is new at Western. Hear from JoAnne Strongman, BA'97, one of Canada's most noted Food Stylists and Professional Artists, about how Western played a role in getting her where she is today. Guests will enjoy complimentary appetizers and soft drinks, and a cash bar will be avalable. Please register by Monday, March 3, 2014. Dress code: smart casual; jeans, denim, cargo pants and athletic wear are not permitted. Founder’s Day is celebrated annually by the Western community on March 7. It is a time for Western to remember the contributions of its founders and celebrate our students, staff, faculty and alumni and their accomplishments. One of Canada’s oldest universities, Western was founded on March 7, 1878 when the UWO Act was proclaimed. To commemorate this day, members of the Alumni Association have developed a grassroots initiative to promote Founder’s Day. Join Founder's Day on Social Media
