Lunar New Year 2023
|
In Chinese culture, the rabbit is known as the luckiest out of all 12 animals, symbolizing mercy, elegance and beauty. Hop into Lunar New Year with Western alumni and friends as we celebrate the rich and vibrant Chinese culture together. All alumni are welcome. The event will include an eight-course, sit-down meal featuring a fusion of Chinese cuisine, followed by the opportunity to karaoke and sing a tune or two if the music moves you. All attendees will have their name entered for a chance to win some lucky draw prizes. Accolades for Lai Wah Heen: "The best dim sum in Toronto, maybe the best in North America." (New York Times); "A sense of Hong Kong's new culinary design." (Gourmet Magazine); "Edible masterpieces rarely savoured outside of Hong Kong." (enRoute Magazine). Dinner is$100 per person or$900 for a table of ten, including tax and gratuities. Cash bar will be available. Register by Sunday, January 29, 2023. Your Lunar New Year Event Committee: Please contact Western Alumni if you require information in an alternate format, or have any other accessibility needs. Thank you to the businesses that have generously donated to the Lucky Draw. |
