John Fleming, BA'89, City of London, Managing Director of Planning and City Planner
John has an Honours degree in Urban Development from Western
University and a Master’s Degree in Planning from the University of Toronto. He
has worked in both the private and public sectors as a Planner in the province
of Ontario for over 25 years. He was
also seconded to London’s Economic Development Office, where he was the lead
staff member tasked with establishing a new model for economic development in
London. In his current position he is responsible for planning policy and
programs, urban design, heritage planning, urban regeneration, parks and trail
planning, growth management, environmental planning, urban forestry and
planning application review. He has received the Award of Planning Excellence
from the Ontario Professional Planners Institute and is a member of the
Regional Planning Commissioners of Ontario.
Michael Hodgson, MBA'85, Highstreet, Managing Director, Private Clients
Mike is responsible for providing strategic and operational
leadership for the Private Client and Foundation business at Highstreet. He is
an experienced financial services professional with a bias towards private
client wealth management. He has spent more than 30 years in the financial
services industry including 23 years with RBC working in leadership roles in
Canada, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the British Isles. He brings a broad
range of disciplines, including general management, post-acquisition
integration, client relationship management, business development and corporate
governance. He has also led the wealth management businesses of smaller firms
in various international and domestic locations.
Jennifer Miller, HBA'09, Sifton Properties Limited, Special Projects Manager

Jennifer is a mother of 2 and graduate from the Social Justice and Peace Studies program at King's University College. She is currently working as the Special Projects Manager for Sifton Properties Limited. Jennifer works to implement strategic initiative projects to expand and advance the organization. Most recently Jennifer managed the transition and design of the new office at Sifton Centre in London's newest and smartest neighbourhood in West 5; a net zero community like we've never seen before in Ontario. In this role, Jennifer is also the acting chair of the Sifton outreach committee working to raise approximately $65,000 annually for United Way. In addition to her busy role with Sifton, Jennifer is acting Director with local non-profit and social enterprise London Training Centre.
Bryan Strang, BMOS'14, Account Manager, Great-West Life Assurance Co.
Bryan Strang is an Account Manager with the Great-West Life Assurance Company, one of Canada's largest insurance carriers. Working in Group Benefits Sales, he manages a block of regional corporate accounts with companies from dozens to thousands of employees. One of three Canadian representatives selected to partake in a 6-month Great-West Life account management training program after university, He worked within various departments including: pricing, marketing, underwriting, financial management and expense planning. Bryan's key responsibilities include new business acquisition, preparing RPFs, sales presentations, implementation of new clients, annual renewals, and financial reporting.
While he is a more recent graduate from Western- Bryan hopes to share his experience transitioning from undergrad to landing that first job!
