Brainstorm Straight Talk on Concussion

Western University researchers are leaders in concussion research and advocacy. We are creating a new video series about their important work so that more people from across Canada and around the world can learn about it and benefit from it.

The video series is called Brainstorm – Straight Talk on Concussion. And we are hoping that you can assist us with the production of it by attending a special invite only taping.

Taking place on July 30, you will have the opportunity to hear from four outstanding researchers and participate in a Q&A session following. By attending the taping, you will be part of this new series and have the opportunity to hear from the speakers before anyone else.

Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and taping begins at 10:00 a.m. and the session will end no later than 12:00 p.m.

Register today. There is only space for 250 people to attend, so sign up early to guarantee your seat.

Free parking is available in the South Valley Parking Lot. You will be required to take a ticket upon entry into the parking lot. When you register at the taping you will be provided with a pass for a complimentary exit.

Presentations will be made by

  • Arthur Brown, PhD, Scientist, Robarts Research Institute and Associate Professor, Department of Anatomy & Cell Biology, Schulich Medicine & Dentistry
  • Laura Graham, PhD, Assistant Professor, School of Physical Therapy, Western University and Registered Physiotherapist, NeuroTrauma Rehab Program, Parkwood Institute, St. Joseph's Health Care
  • Dr. Lisa Fischer, Assistant Professor, Department of Family Medicine, Schulich Medicine & Dentistry, and Faculty of Health Sciences; Director, Primary Care Sport Medicine, Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic
  • Ravi Menon, PhD, Canada Research Chair in Functional and Molecular Imaging; Co-Scientific Director, BrainsCAN; Scientist, Robarts Research Institute and Professor, Medical Biophysics, Schulich Medicine & Dentistry

The videos will include audience reaction to the speakers. By attending the taping, you could be included in the video. If you prefer not to be included in the video, please advise the ushers when you arrive and they will seat you accordingly.
