Gin & Platonic: A Human Library Event
|
Join us for Western’s first Human Library event. Designed to break down barriers around challenging topics, Human Library events offer the opportunity for one-on-one conversations that will broaden your understanding and provide deep intellectual engagement. For Western’s first ever Human Library event, professors from the Department of Philosophy will serve as “books.” Alumni and friends will have a chance to “check out” a “book.” Each “book” will give a short introduction to stimulating questions currently being asked in their area of philosophy – and then alumni and friends are free to ask questions. Come join us for an evening of catching up with some of Western’s stellar philosophy faculty and meet some of the younger generation of students studying philosophy at Western. Compimentary refreshments will be served. Human Books: Professor Carolyn McLeod, Book title: HAVING CHILDREN: Are Some Ways Morally Better than Others? Please contact Alumni Western if you require information in an alternate format, or if any other arrangements can make this event accessible to you. |
