You are invited to the 20th Annual Western Rowing Gala, a special event bringing together alumni, current team members, friends and family of the Western Rowing program.

The gala offers the opportunity for the Western Rowing community to come together and celebrate our shared achievements.

This year will celebrate the Great 8+ campaign which will help sustain a new full-time leadership position for the Western Rowing program. Through this partnership between Western and our donors, $1 million was raised, matched and endowed.

We will also recognize Wendy Wiebe, this year’s inductee to the Western Rowing Wall of Excellence. Wendy was a member of Western Rowing from 1984 to 1987 where she won numerous titles. Wendy’s outstanding rowing career culminated in the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta where she finished seventh in the lightweight women’s double. Wendy is a three-time World Champion and a world-record breaker in the lightweight women’s double, an inductee into the Canadian Rowing Hall of Fame, and Western Mustangs Hall of Fame and is one of the most decorated rowers in Canadian history.
