Archaeological Site Investigation: Western Edition
|
ASI: Western Edition takes Western alumni for a family-friendly morning behind the scenes at the Museum of Ontario Archaeology. Learn about the cutting-edge research facilities at Sustainable Archaeology, where 3D imaging and digital re-creation of artifacts allows researchers to learn about the past in new ways. Enjoy talks by Professor Neal Ferris, Lawson Chair of Canadian Archaeology, and Professor Alexander Meyer, a Roman archaeologist from the Department of Classical Studies. This experience is jointly sponsored by the Faculty of Social Science, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, and the Museum of Ontario Archaeology. Please note that this event coincides with Doors Open London events taking place at the same time. Alumni guests are asked to identify themselves for special programming. Children are welcome. There is no cost to attend this event. Please register online by Monday, September 23, 2013. There is always so much to do when you come home! For a full list of Homecoming activities and events, visit the website. Please contact Alumni Western if you require information in an alternate format, or if any other arrangements can make this event accessible to you. |
