Doors open at 2:30 p.m. The President's Lecture Series is filled to capacity. Live streaming of the event, however, will be available. Amit Chakma, President & Vice-Chancellor, invites you to the 2017 President’s Lecture Series at Western University featuring His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada. Western University’s President’s Lecture Series showcases personalities of national and international prominence from the realms of academia, politics, civil service, business, and the arts as a means to engage the campus and broader community in meaningful public discourse on a wide range of important topics. Established and hosted by the President & Vice-Chancellor, Amit Chakma, this public lecture series aims to provoke thoughtful discussion and debate on the most compelling ideas and issues of the day while raising the profile of the University and the exceptional faculty, alumni, and friends who comprise our campus community. This event celebrates the 150th anniversary of Confederation, also known as Canada's Sesquicentennial. Parking: Complimentary parking is available starting at 2:30 p.m. in the South Valley Lot (located off Huron Drive). Shuttle service will operate continuously from the parking lot, including during and just following the reception. Car-pooling is strongly recommended as parking is limited. Limited barrier-free (accessible) parking is available in all campus lots. Western students, staff and faculty: As parking is limited, we ask that you park at your usual lots on campus and make your way on foot. Please register by Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
