Munro's Places of the Heart Nobel Prize winner Alice Munro’s world-class writing is inspired by her southwestern Ontario roots. This
lecture will explore the magnetic appeal of “Munro country:” local, “ordinary” places and the profound feelings that are bound up in them in her stories, from her first publications while she was an undergraduate at Western to recent work.
