Love Your London Banting House 450

Alumni Western invites you to our 7th Annual Love Your London indoor/outdoor cocktail reception at the Banting House National Historic Site of Canada.  Love Your London events provide a great opportunity for alumni to rediscover and explore our city's unique venues and attractions.

Tour the house known as “The Birthplace of Insulin." It was in this London home, after preparing a lecture to give to Western's medical school students, that Frederick Banting arose at two o'clock on the morning of October 31, 1920 with the idea that led to the discovery of insulin! The museum features exhibits dedicated to Banting as co-discoverer of insulin, doctor, war hero, and artist.

Event highlights include:

  • greetings from the Museum's Curator, Grant Maltman BA'91 (History)
  • live music
  • hot and cold hors d’oeuvres catered by Wicked Catering/Braywick Bistro
  • one complimentary cocktail per person

Tickets are $15 per person and are available online until Wednesday, June 6, 2012.
