ImPaKT Summit

Join us for the ImPaKT Summit: Our ImPaKT on Pathogens as experts gather to discuss the role the Imaging Pathogens for Knowledge Translation (ImPaKT) Facility will play in future research.

The morning event includes research updates from David Heinrichs, PhD, Paula Foster, PhD, and Jessica Prodger, PhD, as well as a plenary talk from Thomas J. Hope, PhD. Following the presentations, a panel discussion will focus on finding a cure for HIV and the role of the ImPaKT Facility in that work.

A continental breakfast is provided. Registration is required.

Thomas J. Hope, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology and Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Feinberg School of Medicine and in Biomedical Engineering in the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Northwestern University. Dr. Hope’s laboratory has been a pioneer in the use of cell biology approaches to study HIV, providing images and videos of HIV interacting with cells and tissues. For the past 25 years, his research has focused on HIV cellular virology. More recently, this focus has expanded to HIV-related mucosal immunology, HIV transmission and HIV prevention science.
