Schulich Homecoming 2019 Dean's Distinguished

Dr. Danyaal Raza, MD’09 has been selected as the recipient of this year’s Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Award. Join us for his lecture, The unfinished business of Medicare: the fight for prescription drugs.

Dr. Raza's leadership and advocacy work focuses on public policy, including better medicare and the social determinants of health. He is a staff physician with the Department of Family & Community Medicine of St. Michael’s Hospital, Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, and serves as the Chair of Canadian Doctors for Medicare, an organization dedicated to evidence-based, values-driven healthcare reform.

Dr. Raza is a graduate of Harvard University's Masters of Public Health program, and former Fellow in Global Health at the University of Toronto’s Department of Family & Community Medicine. He completed his post-graduate medical training at Queen's University and holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science from Western University.

We look forward to welcoming Dr. Danyaal Raza back to the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University during Homecoming Weekend.
