Dr. Danyaal Raza, MD’09 has been selected as the recipient of this year’s Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Award. Join us for his lecture, The unfinished business of Medicare: the fight for prescription drugs. Dr. Raza's leadership and advocacy work focuses on public policy, including better medicare and the social determinants of health. He is a staff physician with the Department of Family & Community Medicine of St. Michael’s Hospital, Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, and serves as the Chair of Canadian Doctors for Medicare, an organization dedicated to evidence-based, values-driven healthcare reform. Dr. Raza is a graduate of Harvard University's Masters of Public Health program, and former Fellow in Global Health at the University of Toronto’s Department of Family & Community Medicine. He completed his post-graduate medical training at Queen's University and holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science from Western University. We look forward to welcoming Dr. Danyaal Raza back to the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University during Homecoming Weekend.
