The Department of Family Medicine invites you to the annual Dr. Ian McWhinney Lecture Series,  "Family Practice: transitions and change. What does the future hold?" on September 18, 2019, in Room 1150 of the Western Centre for Public Health and Family Medicine.

We are pleased to announce Dr. David Loxterkamp, a family physician and author who lives and works in Belfast, Maine, as the 2019 Dr. Ian McWhinney Lecture Series speaker.

2:30 - 4:00 p.m. – Opening Remarks and the annual Dr. Ian McWhinney Lecture
Dr. David Loxterkamp – Family Practice: transitions and change. What does the future hold?

4:00 p.m. – Celebratory Reception

Opening remarks and the annual Dr. Ian McWhinney Lecture will begin at 2:30 p.m. and will be followed by a celebratory reception.

The lecture series has been established in memory of Dr. McWhinney, the founding chair of the Department of Family Medicine and one of the leading thinkers in the discipline of Family Medicine.

Who attends? Faculty, residents, staff, students, researchers, physicians, allied health care professionals, and community members.
