The arrival of summer brings warmer weather and longer days, and for many regions such as Southwestern Ontario, it can mean tornadoes.

Join two of Western’s leading research experts Gregory Kopp and David Sills from the Northern Tornadoes Project for a live webcast where they will discuss the upcoming tornado season and how to best detect tornadoes throughout Canada.

Together, they will answer your questions and explore topics such as:

  • Predicting severe and extreme weather
  • Investigating tornadoes
  • Mitigating damage to people and property
  • Future implications due to climate change
  • The role of citizen scientists in these changing times

The registration for this webinar is complimentary.

Registered participants will be provided login details by email to join the zoom webinar using a computer or any mobile device. Join us live on May 21, 2020 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time to participate in the webinar.
