Virtual Creative Coffeehouse
|
Grab your favourite beverage, sit back and enjoy our Creative Coffeehouse on Zoom as we feature a variety of musical, spoken and creative acts. The coffeehouse begins at 7:00 p.m ET on Friday, October 16. (Are you located in a different time zone? Find out when to watch in your local time here.)
Part of Virtually Canada’s Best Homecoming, the Coffeehouse is your chance to celebrate Homecoming 2020 with the Faculty of Arts & Humanities, the Don Wright Faculty of Music and the Faculty of Information & Media Studies. The virtual coffeehouse features collaborative performances from alumni, students, and faculty, including a curated performance by Ivan Coyote, Western’s Alice Munro Chair in Creativity.
A live talkback with Lisa Henderson, Dean, Faculty of Information & Media Studies, Michael Milde, Dean, Arts & Humanities and Betty Anne Younker, Dean, Don Wright Faculty of Music will follow the performances. Our emcee will be David Simmonds, BA’07, Homecoming Chair and Visiting Professor at Western's School of Advanced Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
Please register to receive the Zoom login details.
Are you a Western Arts & Humanities, FIMS or Music alum who would like to share your creative endeavors with your fellow alumni? When you register, let us know your social media handle and where fellow alumni can find your creative work online and we will include it in our Friday event program.
