"Why Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Matter at Western"

This talk will discuss the importance of equity, diversity and inclusion in fulfilling Western’s primary mission of providing high-quality education. Western has a unique responsibility to develop in students the knowledge, skills, and competencies that they need to be active members in an increasingly diverse global community. Within the current context of growing intolerance and stereotypical preconceptions, Dr. Luginaah will examine the critical issues and importance of equity, diversity and inclusion in Western as an academic environment.
