Saturday, October 17, 2020
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Elborn College PT CSD OT
Join us for an interactive virtual Homecoming event for alumni from across the Western Rehabilitation Schools. The event will start with a welcome and opening remarks followed by School-specific break out rooms.

Angie MandichThe School of Occupational Therapy at Western: Enacting Change
Angela Mandich, Director of the School of Occupational Therapy, will provide updates on the exciting changes within our School with a focus on our new curriculum which launched in September 2020. This will be followed by informal dialogue with School Faculty and alumni. Don't miss this opportunity to share in our reflections and to connect with old friends.

MurrayThe School of Communication Sciences and Disorders: 50 Years & Going Strong!
Laura Murray, Director, School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), will briefly describe some of the recent developments in the School, as well as some future goals for our training programs and research. We will honour Mary Beth Jennings and her many research, teaching and service contributions to our School, The National Centre for Audiology, and to audiology as a discipline and profession. Because Homecoming is a great opportunity for catching up, we will leave lots of time for alumni to visit with each other and with School Faculty.

RushtonThe Future of Physical Therapy at Western
Alison Rushton, the new Director of the School of Physical Therapy, will share some key updates that build on the successes of the School as it continues to look forward to an exciting future. Jackie Sadi will lead a thoughtful tribute to Professor Emerita Kathy Obright, reflecting on her impact on thousands of students graduating from the School over 30 years of teaching and leadership. Most of the session will focus on faculty and our alumni sharing their news and thoughts, as we reflect on our collective experiences.
